Ilari Tuupanen from Finland scored 1st and 2nd place in the "Young Crew" age group with two stunning atmospheric shots - congratulations!
Also to Daniil from Russia, and to Arthur Wilmotte and Guy de Falandre from France and their images ranking 3-5 - very well done!

Christophe Salin wins the Adult age group with a phot of a majestic stag, crowned with fern. Runner-up is Marcin Nawrocki from Poland with a lovely monochromatic shot of Great white egrets fishing in the mist.

Highly CommendedPhoto: The Young Crew - Tadas Naujokaitis / Lithuania 


Teddy Bracard
from France scored three awarded images in the Young Category! His winning image is rather poetic, the RunnerUp a nice portrait and the Highly Commended 3rd place a spotlit shot of a Red deer stag - congratulations!
Also to Tadas Naujokaitis from Lithuania for his superb Nuthatch and to Thijs Broekkamp from the Netherlands with his action shot of a Common Tern - very well done!

A creek in fall colours is the winning shot of Bart Heirweg in the Adult category. Nikolas Fokas from Greece was voted RunnerUp with his landing flycatcher - congratulations to both! Other favourites of the public voting were Jari Heikkinen's Red throated diver, Bejamin Barthelemy's mantis and the three high-altitude fox cubs of Brion (who is she/he?). Well done!

21.08.2011   "Europe gets wilder" - story in GEO Germany magazine!

Wild Wonders of Europe images illustrate a 23 pages story in the September issue of GEO Germany. Writer Anke Sparmann accompanied the Rewilding Europe team in the field and visited other places in Europe where big species are returning to their old haunts.
Check the Rewilding Europe website to learn more about why the number of wildlife in Europe increased by almost 50%!

04.08.2011   Outdoor Exhibition in Copenhagen at New Venue!

The Show Goes on!  Thanks to the support of our Danish partners and a big effort taken by LifeExhibitions, the Outdoor Exhibition will be re-opened in Copenhagen at a new venue on August 5: Kongens Nytorv - another top location in the Danish capital. Don't miss it! It looks especially stunning in a warm summer night!

20.07.2011   New winning images online!

Foxes! They were the most wanted subjects for those who voted for the shortlisted images of our May photo competition. Four images of foxes have been nominated amongst the winners in our Adult age group. Winner Csaba Gonye scored with a techi shot of a fox that triggered his flashes twice, leaving two images on the same photo. A fox in action lifted the images of G. Soligny and Walter Barthelemi on ranks 2 and 3. Quentin Martinez keeps scoring in our Young Crew age group with yet another stunning macro shot. His winning image was succeeded by Jean de Falandre's bugling red deer stag - congratulations to all!

18.05.2011   And the winners are...

Quentin Martinez from France saw, snapped, submitted and won - again! He hold places 1-4 in the Young Crew age group of our March competition - hats off to Quentin! On position 5 a lovely forest shot from the Carpathians by Jakub Cibik frm Slovakia, well done!
Strong pictures also in the Adults group with a brown bear from Finland by Alexandre Boudet / France taking 1st place and Jarkko Lehtinen's wide-angle Great grey owl runner-up. Followed by Alex Rako from Hungary - who has just turned 18 last year!, by Csaba Gonye also from Hungary and Bart Heirweg from Belgium.
Congratulations to all winners!
